Snoonu Celebrates Ramadan with Exciting Activities to Engage with the Qatar Community
Sharing in Ramadan celebrations, Snoonu welcomes new merchants to its Ramadan selection, promotes healthy Ramadan lifestyle tips on its social media channels, and partners with Qatar’s top organizations for cultural and charitable programs
6 May 2021 – Doha, Qatar: Doha-based e-commerce startup, Snoonu, joined Ramadan celebrations in Qatar by launching a range of activities and offers to make this lockdown-marked Ramadan warmer and to engage with the community.
Committed to support local businesses, Snoonu added a special ‘Ramadan Selection’ on its App featuring an array of Qatar-based merchants sharing mouth-watering Iftar and Suhoor menus and deals. Hilton’s ‘The Kitchen’, Sheraton Grand and high-end Qatari cuisine restaurant ‘Sasnaa’ are among the outlets featured in Snoonu’s selection, offering exclusive Ramadan set menus, along with local clothing boutiques like Afraa, Wyld and The Dress showcasing modest clothing, accessories, and original gift ideas as well as other retailers across F&B, clothing, perfumes, and accessories.
To engage with the community and encourage everyone to follow a healthy routine during the holy month of Ramadan, Snoonu launched a series of healthy tips videos regularly aired on the company’s highly engaging Instagram channel. The videos featured healthy suhoor tips, provided insights on the nutritional benefits of dates and advised steps to avoid indigestion and thirst during Ramadan.
In addition to the engaging videos, Snoonu is also running fun daily quiz on its Instagram stories that include questions on geography, religion, history, science and mathematics, posted every night at 9pm. Winners, chosen randomly among the followers who gave the correct answers, are announced the next day around 8pm and receive QR100 on Snoonu wallet campaign.
To bring excitement and reward to Qatar’s kids, Snoonu partnered with Qatar Children’s Museum to deliver special kits for museum led Garangao workshops. Open to Qatar Museums Culture Pass members, the workshop hosted a cultural expert, Naijla Al Hemaidi who taught the kids to make various items including medallions, bookmarks and Garangao baskets with palm tree weaving.
Engaged in building a resilient economy in Qatar, Snoonu continues to support its merchants with lower commissions, supporting them in the difficult context of the pandemic and offering a seamless online shopping experience to keep the community safe.
