April 25, 2021:  Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) in collaboration with Qatar Charity (QC), is sponsoring the Iftar project for workers in the industrial area who are fasting, as part of Qatar Charity’s “Ramadan of Hope” campaign, in light of the current challenging conditions. The sponsorship of the program comes as part of the Bank’s community-focused CSR initiatives.

Commenting on the sponsorship Mashaal Abdulaziz Al Derham, Assistant General Manager, Head of Corporate Communications & Quality Assurance at QIB said, “Ramadan is a time of giving, generosity, compassion and tolerance. We are proud to know that our partnership with Qatar Charity is helping the community break their fast with a good meal, distributed to workers in the industrial area while adhering to the requirements of the national health authorities, in light of the current situation imposed by Covid-19”.

Mr. Jassim Mohammed Al-Emadi, Director of Programs and Community Development at Qatar Charity, expressed his appreciation for QIB’s continuous support to Qatar Charity programs and projects, and for sponsoring the Iftar Project that is targeted to workers during the holy month. Mr. Jassim emphasized that the collaboration reflects QIB’s solid efforts to support charity initiatives, embracing Qatari and Islamic values that are synonymous of social solidarity. Mr. Jassim also stressed QIB’s significant contribution to supporting large number of workers during the holy month, especially in light of the challenges imposed by the pandemic.
QIB’s contribution to the Iftar project targeted to low-income community members during the holy month is part of the Bank’s social responsibility program and reflects its adherence to Islamic values and Qatari traditions of social solidarity. QIB continuously supports similar programs every year, to reaffirm its commitment to the community.

As a leading Bank in Qatar and an active partner providing continuous support to the community, QIB places social responsibility at the top of its priorities. This is reflected thorough its contributions towards human support, health, education, and sports activities, within the framework of QIB’s social responsibility programs.
