Doha Festival City Wins 3 Prestigious Awards at the 2020 CMO Asia Brand Leadership Awards

Doha, Qatar – 10 November 2020: Doha Festival City, Qatar's one and only choice for shopping, dining, and entertainment, is pleased to announce it has received three prestigious accolades at the 2020 Brand Leadership Awards, organized by CMO Asia, a peer networking body that aims to help connect marketers across sectors on a common platform.
Being the only winning mall from Qatar, Doha Festival City was crowned ‘Best Shopping Center of the Year’, and received high recognition for its marketing and social media strategy, winning the ‘Best Use of Social Media in Marketing’ and ‘Best In-House Magazine’.
Doha Festival City scooped the ‘Best Shopping Center of the Year’ title for its excellence in a number of achievements, including tenant support and customer service, corporate social responsibility, as well as its community-led #FestivalCares initiative and sustainability policy. The Mall was also recognized for its excellent hygiene and safety measures, unique Kids Club program, and its wide range of facilities and extensive retail mix, in addition to its diverse community-led activations including PR and digital activities. The Mall was also applauded for its overall performance and success in driving footfall and rebounding after the Covid-19-induced closures.
Furthermore, CMO Asia paid tribute to the creativity and innovation in Doha Festival City’s use of social media. Doha Festival City’s newly launched FFTV (Festival Fashion TV), that garnered around 10 million views since August, as well as excellent retailers’ feedback, was key to awarding Doha Festival City the ‘Best Use of Social Media in Marketing’.
Doha Festival City’s one-of-a-kind Festival Magazine also received a prestigious accolade from the 2020 Brand Leadership Awards as the ‘Best In-House Magazine’. Festival Magazine’s readership has been continuously growing, and the latest issue received approximately 200,000 reads in less than a month. The magazine was applauded for its advanced interactivity with readers, enhanced by internal and external links and videos embedded to the magazine’s online issue.
