FFTV, Doha Festival City's Exclusive Fashion TV Channel, Marks November with a Special Tribute to Sustainability in Fashion

Festival Fashion TV (FFTV) kicks-off November episodes featuring fashion influencer 
 Juliana Heide, and shedding light on sustainable collections available from Doha Festival City’s myriad of retailers.

 
Doha, Qatar – 7 November 2020:  Doha Festival City, Qatar's one and only choice for fashion, dining and entertainment has announced the launch of the new season of its exclusive Fashion TV ‘FFTV’ series, dedicated to sustainability in fashion. The ‘FFTV’ episode featured one of Doha’s renowned fashion personalities who showcased Doha Festival City’s ultimate shopping experience, shared the latest fashion trends for this season, highlighting the Mall’s ongoing commitment to sustainability. 


On Sunday November 1st episode, Juliana Heide, an image consultant, and a personal and retail stylist visited & Other Stories fashion outlet located on the ground floor at Doha Festival City. Juliana explored the store’s sustainable collection and selected her favourite pieces whilst giving her insights on how to scout for the perfect outfit for special occasions.


Founded in 2010 by a small group of creatives, & Other Stories grew from the wish to give women the freedom of expression through one brand. With creativity and inspiration at heart, & Other Stories approaches every part of its production process with a sustainable mindset. One of its main goals is for all of their materials to be either recycled or sourced in a more sustainable way by 2030. Their creations include the use of 100% sustainably sourced cotton, their first-ever vegan shoes made of VEGEA and bottles made from recycled plastic.

In collaboration with one of Doha’s well-known fashion and lifestyle personalities, we hope that this special episode will raise awareness on the significance of sustainable fashion and inspire our visitors to consider introducing sustainable pieces into their wardrobes”.
 
Doha Festival City has received a Level 3 certification by the Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS), to be the first sustainable mall in Qatar. Currently, the mall saves 30% of traditional water consumption levels with high-efficiency faucets and sanitary fixtures; demonstrates plausible strategies for filtering, collecting, and treating storm and sanitary water to avoid waterway contamination, and uses natural cooling techniques to save energy. As a recognised leader in sustainable developments, Doha Festival City remains committed to delivering green strategies as part of its mission to give back to the community.
 
In this weekend’s upcoming episode on Sunday November 8th, fashion influencer Nickii jean will visit TALLY WEiJL, a distinct fashion store for women located on Doha Festival City’s ground floor. 
 
Nickii jean will explore the Fall-Winter collection at TALLY WEiJL, select her favourite pieces and share her inspiration on how to sport the perfect style for different occasions.
 
TALLY WEiJL is a brand for young self-confident women and one of the bold players of today’s international fast fashion market, empowering women with unlimited access to affordable fashion. The combination of irresistible trendy styles and a unique brand experience has made the Swiss company, founded in 1984 by Tally Elfassi-Weijl and Beat Grüring, successful since more than 30 years. Today, TALLY WEiJL is present in 880 stores through 37 countries. 
 
Doha Festival City is home to more than 430 fashion and beauty retailers, including brands that have made their debut in Qatar exclusively at Doha Festival City. Through offering a myriad of brands, unique offering and loyalty programmes, Doha Festival City is committed to bringing the ultimate fashion experience to its shoppers. 
 
Doha Festival City opening hours are Saturday to Wednesday from 10am to 10 pm, and Thursday to Friday from 10am to 11pm. Children of all ages are now allowed to enter the mall. In line with the preventative measures set out by the authorities, Doha Festival City has introduced stringent health and safety measures throughout the mall for its staff and visitors. This includes a thorough mall disinfection treatment on a weekly basis, robust cleaning and sanitization operations during mall trading hours, 127 hand sanitizing stations installed in the areas that have commonly touched surfaces.
