Doha, Qatar – March 23, 2017:  HEC Paris, one of the world’s top three providers of Executive Education programs, has officially welcomed its latest batch of participants for the HEC Paris Executive MBA in Doha.

The new participants were greeted by Dr. Nils Plambeck, Dean and CEO, HEC Paris in Qatar, who gave the participants an overview on HEC Paris locally and globally. The Executive MBA Class of 2018, consisting of 13 nationalities of which almost 50% are Qataris and 30% are women, then received an orientation of the program from Matthew Gibb, Director of New International Programming and Academic Partnerships, HEC Paris.

The EMBA participants come from a range of industries and sectors including Education, Health and Social Services, Management Consulting and Banking and 23% of participants are flying in from neighboring countries. The primary aim of the EMBA program is to enhance the participants’ understanding of the social, economic and environmental aspects of international business, while developing their leadership skills and learning from world-class faculty and other top-level participants who bring to class a range of practical experiences and knowledge.

“We are honored to welcome our latest cohort for the Executive MBA program. The demand for our EMBA program from executives in Qatar and the region is reflective of our high level of curriculum offered by internationally acclaimed faculty and industry specialists,” Dr Nils Plambeck said.

“The participants will gain the necessary skills from the program to help further their careers, which takes into account the latest regional and global trends in management, leadership and entrepreneurship. Furthermore, the enhanced understanding of leadership will thereby enable them to contribute successfully to the growth of their respective organizations and in quite a few instances to Qatar’s economy.”

The curriculum of the HEC Paris Executive MBA is made up of three key components: 14 Core Courses and Topics in General Management, a Major and a Capstone project. There are eight majors for participants to choose from, allowing them to specialize in a field of their choice. The majors include: Aerospace & Aviation, Differentiation & Innovation through Services, Energy (where one session takes place in Doha), Entrepreneurship - Project Accelerator, Innovation and Social Business, Leading Digital Transformation and Luxury.
