The day of the Premier Padel Malaga P1 finals has arrived at the Palacio de Deportes José M. Martin Carpena. As happened in Bordeaux in the last tournament played, Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia will face Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan for the men's title, in the 21st chapter of a challenge that is rewriting the history of padel. In the women's draw, Tamara Icardo celebrates her return to the final after a year and three months and, paired with Marta Ortega, will face Bea Gonzalez and Claudia Fernandez in the match that will open the finals programme at 4 p.m. CET.

MEN While Coello and Tapia, in the second semi-final, defeated Lucas Bergamini and Paquito Navarro 6-4 6-0 in a match that was only balanced in the first set, the first match was the most exciting of the day. Coki Nieto and Mike Yanguas, who had not reached the semi-finals since the Doha Major, dominated the first set against Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan. However, the number 2 seeds were able to come back and win 1-6 6-4 7-6 in two hours and 45 minutes. Sunday's match will be the 21st between the top two pairs in the world: Coello and Tapia lead 14-6, and are also ahead 4-1 in 2025. Arturo and Agus are looking for their seventh title of the season, while Fede and Ale are looking for their fifth.

WOMEN Before the men's final, the women's one will be played, with Bea Gonzalez and Claudia Fernandez, who after closing out (6-2 6-4) the first tournament as a pair against Ale Salazar and Martina Calvo, will have the chance to win their second title of the season after the one they won in Asuncion. On the other side of the net will be Tamara Icardo and Marta Ortega, who eliminated Ale Alonso and Claudia Jensen (6-2, 6-4) in the first semi-final. The two players have not yet won any titles in 2025, and Icardo has never won a Premier Padel tournament in her career: her first and only final was at last year's P2 in Puerto Cabello, when Tamara and Ale Salazar lost 6-3 6-4 to Delfi Brea and Bea Gonzalez.
