CMU-Q celebrates student achievement in spring 2023 semester
 
Doha, Qatar, 19 November, 2023 – At a ceremony in Education City, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q), a Qatar Foundation (QF) partner university, honored 175 students for academic excellence in the spring 2023 semester. The Dean’s List ceremony takes place twice a year to acknowledge student achievement based on grades from the previous semester. 
 
The Dean’s List for the spring 2023 semester included 30 first-year students, 44 sophomore students, 60 junior students and 41 senior students. 
 
At the ceremony, Michael Trick, dean of CMU-Q, recognized the students’ achievements: “To all of you who we recognize today, congratulations on a semester of hard work and attention to detail. I hope you take some time today to feel proud of your accomplishments, and reflect on how you can continue to learn and grow.”
 
The first-year honorees on the spring 2023 Dean’s List are: Mayowa Abayomi, Abdallah Abdaljalil, Mariam Abdelatef, Jana Abdelmaguid, Muhammed Rayyan Ahmed, Cynthia Akaliza, Abdulla Al Hemaidi, Muneera Al-Mansouri, Dema Al-Shirawi, Fatima Almuftah, Jawaher Khaled Alsayed, Dounia Baroudi, Enoch Luis Catuncan, Mohamed Elsayed, Mohammed Elsayed, Jingxiang Gao, Fatou Gueye, Aditya Gupta, Zeina Halawa, Hamzah Hamad, Malak Ibrahim, Adan Jawad, Ulpan Kaiyrbayeva, Omar Khalaf, Jade Mathias, Zhansaya Matkenova, Gani Raissov, Azizjon Samandarov, Mahnoor Sethi, and Sunaya Upadhyay.
