Carnegie Mellon Qatar Celebrates Dean's List, Spring 2022

154 students recognized for academic excellence

Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q), a Qatar Foundation (QF) partner university, recognized 154 students for academic excellence at the Dean’s List ceremony for the spring 2022 semester. Students are included on the Dean’s List based on grades from the previous semester. 

The Dean’s List for the spring 2022 semester included 36 first-year students, 44 sophomore students, 50 junior students and 24 senior students. 
Michael Trick, dean of CMU-Q, opened the ceremony with words of encouragement.

“The Dean’s List ceremony is an important tradition at our university, and I think there is something very meaningful in holding this ceremony. It is important to reflect on your successes. When you pass a milestone, take a moment to enjoy the feeling of accomplishment.” 

The first-year honorees on the spring 2022 Dean’s List are: Aziza Abugaliyeva, Mariam Afifi, Lujain Al Mansoori, Alanoud Al Thani, Al Dana Al-Naemi, Aldana Aldisi, Majed Alnama, Ioana Andrei, Mohammad Annan, Omar Salah A H Bahzad, Md Tasnim Bin Akbar, Davit Charkviani, Mateo Correa, Phat Diep, Mohamad El Ghali, Mukhammadjon Gafurov, Andrey Genze, Adithya Jaganathan, Weon Gyu Jeon, Huda Joad, May Khin, Ha Le, Jullia Andrei Montejo, Nour Nasrallah, Iman Ouzzani, Md Azmain Adib Pahlowan, Nizar Radi, Maryam Rahmatullah, Aziza Rustamova, Raman Saparkhan, Afomia Seyoum, Abeeha Shoaib, Abdulbosit Shukhratbekov, Muaz Topal, Kekeli Tsoekewo and Fatima Yousaf.

Carnegie Mellon Qatar offers undergraduate programs in biological sciences, business administration, computer science, and information systems.
