Doha Festival City Donates to Special Needs Centers in Qatar

Under the umbrella of #FestivalCares, and to continue its commitments to share in the spirit of giving back to the community, Doha Festival City donated over 100 boxes full of plastic balls to children with special needs in Qatar 


Doha, Qatar – 31 January 2022: Doha Festival City, Qatar's one and only choice for shopping, dining, and entertainment, distributed over 100 boxes full of plastic balls to charity and special needs centers in the country as part of its #FestivalCares initiative.

The boxes, each containing 600 plastic balls were given to a number of organizations throughout Qatar, including the Shafallah Center for Children with Special Needs, the Inspire Special Needs Therapy Center, as well as the Qatar Autism Center, Qatar Charity, and the Noor Center for Special Needs, among others. 

The Mall’s ongoing #FestivalCares initiative includes a robust calendar of community centered initiatives and events to support the local community in Qatar and is part of Festival City’s efforts to give back to the people in Qatar.

Robert Hall, Doha Festival City’s General Manager, said: “We are delighted to give back to the community and spread a spirit of cheer among the children in Qatar, and to support the inspiring work of some of the country’s children centres. Giving back to the community is at the heart of Festival City’s mission, and we will continue to mobilise our efforts to support the people of Qatar from different backgrounds”.

“Festival City strongly encourages the community to become more familiar with issues related to children with special needs.  and we applaud the efforts of all involved,” Robert concluded.

Doha Festival City opening hours are Saturday to Wednesday from 10am to 10 pm, and Thursday to Friday from 10am to 11pm. In line with the preventative measures set out by the authorities, Doha Festival City has introduced stringent health and safety measures throughout the mall for its staff and visitors. This includes a thorough mall disinfection treatment on a weekly basis, robust cleaning, and sanitization operations during mall trading hours, 127 hand sanitizing stations installed in the areas that have commonly touched surfaces.
