Doha’s favourite shopping destination offers visitors a chance to win a host of extravagant prizes in the festival’s fifth edition.


Doha, Qatar – 18 September 2021: Doha Festival City, Qatar's One and Only Choice for shopping, dining and entertainment, is pleased to announce its participation in Shop Qatar, a country-wide shopping festival initiated by Qatar Tourism. 

Running from September 10th to October 10th, this year’s edition of Shop Qatar will shed light on Qatar’s retail, beauty, fashion and entertainment extensive offering, connecting shoppers with top retailers through a range of activities, promotions, and a series of exciting raffle draws held in four leading malls in Qatar. 

Doha Festival City will be the first Mall to launch the raffle draw on September 17th. To participate, visitors must send “Hi” to +97444997499 on Whatsapp, scan a QR code located in all malls and other hospitality destinations in the country , send personal details and confirm the purchase. Designed to maximize shoppers’ chances to win, the raffle draw features a points system, where 1QAR is equivalent to 1 point, and each 200 cumulated points grant customers one raffle ticket. To earn raffle draw tickets, customers are asked to photograph and send their receipts to the same dedicated whatsapp number. 

Shop Qatar Raffle Draw offer participants a chance to win one of 5 amazing grand prizes, including an Aston Martin Vangtage worth QAR 700,000 and four different luxury models of Genesis cars, as well as 12 significant cash prizes, ranging from QAR 100,00 to QAR 15,000. 

Add paragraph on retailers who sponsored prizes – Go Sport, Monoprix, Ikea, Debenhams, Zara, Virgin, Home Centre, Mango, Armani Exchange, Giftshed, Salsa Jeans, Boggi, Reserved, Punt Roma, Marks & Spencer and Pari Gallery.

During the month of Shop Qatar festival, most retailers in Doha Festival City will run exclusive offers and promotions to mark the shopping celebration  

With over 430 retail outlets,including 100 food and dining options, and over 100 kiosks, Doha Festival City is the number one choice for everyone to enjoy the events and offerings of Shop Qatar. The Mall is known to be home to the best local, regional, and international brands, some of which are exclusive to Festival City with no other branches anywhere else in the country.

Shop Qatar raffle draw will be the third one taking place in Doha Festival City this year, after the success of the previous fully digital raffle draw held last March and July. The raffle draw system is 100% digital, giving every participating shopper a chance to win a variety of prizes. 

Doha Festival City opening hours are Saturday to Wednesday from 10am to 10 pm, and Thursday to Friday from 10am to 11pm. In line with the preventative measures set out by the authorities, Doha Festival City has introduced stringent health and safety measures throughout the mall for its staff and visitors. This includes a thorough mall disinfection treatment on a weekly basis, robust cleaning and sanitization operations during mall trading hours, 127 hand sanitizing stations installed in the areas that have commonly touched surfaces. 

At the entrance to the mall and all shops, visitors must show their green Ehteraz QR code, and should wear a face mask during their whole time in the mall. Physical distancing stickers in common queuing areas, such as ATM machines, banks, telecommunication kiosks and branches and various retail shops were installed to help shoppers keep the required physical distance as set forth in the guidelines by the authorities. Stores will provide sanitizers on entry and at cash points to ensure the highest level of hygiene.
