● FENIX increases Qatar investment with second business model to augment shared e-scooter service and offer more mobility options to Qatar visitors and residents
● MyFENIX offers innovative and flexible weekly or monthly e-scooter subscription packages for private use
● Connected vehicles include a smart app, insurance and maintenance, and free annual upgrades

Qatar - 8, March 2021:  FENIX, the newly launched micromobility operator with a mission to unleash urban potential and propel communities forward, is the first company in the Middle East to introduce a private subscription service for electric scooters.

FENIX entered Qatar in December as a pioneering licensed micromobility solution to officially launch in the state. In coordination with the Ministry of Transport and Communications, FENIX operates shared e-scooters in key areas across Doha that are commuter friendly, including West Bay, West Bay Lagoon, Onaiza and Legtaifiya. After the successful launch of shared e-scooters in Qatar, FENIX is doubling down on the market with the introduction of MyFENIX.

MyFENIX offers commuters their own FENIX connected e-scooter for an affordable weekly or monthly fee, inclusive of unlimited rides, a smart app to lock and locate the scooter, and free maintenance with no-questions-asked vehicle replacements in less than 24 hours.

Available for QAR 150 per week or QAR 300 per month, MyFENIX is accessible across all areas of Qatar to private subscription users.

Jaideep Dhanoa, Co-Founder and CEO of FENIX says: “At FENIX, we aim to provide commuters with a range of micromobility services that best meet their daily needs and unleash urban potential. Private e-scooters have taken off all over Qatar and now with MyFENIX, consumers have another affordable, no-commitment option in place of paying thousands of Riyals to buy a scooter upfront that they may not use or that may break due to poor quality.”

“MyFENIX is the first micromobility subscription solution in the region that provides insurance for every ride, free service and maintenance, annual vehicle upgrades and a smart app for your scooter. These added benefits are not available today for a scooter buyer. We are proud to augment our shared scooter service in the region with this first-of-its kind holistic offering in Qatar.” concluded Jaideep.

MyFENIX offers commuters free insurance on every ride, free vehicle upgrades every year and free cancellation at any time. Residents and visitors in Qatar can locate their personal e-scooters, monitor battery levels, and lock / unlock the digital lock via the FENIX mobile application.

IQ Sayed, Co-Founder of FENIX says: “We want to transform the way we move in cities and ignite impactful commerce. This means empowering commuters to have freedom and access to affordable, convenient, and sustainable transportation options. The MyFENIX service is a game-changer for mobility access, offering a price point and level of convenience that is within reach of the majority of the population. We believe MyFENIX will change multimodal transportation journeys making it more inclusive, efficient, and 100 percent sustainable and safe.”

FENIX has the largest fleet of electric scooters in the Middle East and each scooter is equipped with the world’s first integrated hand sanitization packs. Users can avail the MyFENIX subscription packages via the FENIX mobile application, available on the iOS and Google Play stores.

Andy Ryan, CEO of ARC Group says: “We are delighted to have FENIX as part of the ARC Group Family.  Their pride in their work, passion for excellence and innovative spirit truly makes them stand out and MyFENIX will be a real game changer. It is a pleasure to be associated with a company that is as fresh, exciting and innovative as FENIX and that is a real contributor to the improvement of Communities and Sustainability efforts in Qatar”

FENIX is committed to Qatar. Providing last-mile connectivity solutions, FENIX aims to support the Qatar National Vision 2030 with the state having identified infrastructure building as key to engendering “a dynamic and more diversified economy”; and in environment development, one of the key pillars of the vision which provides harmony between economic growth, social development, and environmental protection.
