February 15, 2021:    Mouawad is proud to announce the continuation of its collaboration as an auction partner with IIX Foundation’s SHE IS MORE initiative, which in 2021 takes the theme SHE IS COURAGE to invite everyone to participate in mobilizing youth leaders, help struggling industries and empower women in order to build COVID-resilient communities.

The partnership is a reflection of Mouawad’s values to support women’s empowerment and uniting to create a better world. Mouawad believes in celebrating women for their strength, power and courage, knowing that not only are they the ones that nurture us throughout our lives but also they are the key drivers of positive change in the world today. These values are also demonstrated through Mouawad’s partnership with The Miss Universe Organization, which saw winners of its prestigious pageants honored with crowns crafted by Mouawad titled the Power of Unity, Power of Positivity, Power of Hope and Power of Authenticity in a dazzling celebration of the power of women as a force for good.

The SHE IS MORE initiative is the brainchild of the Singapore-based registered non-profit IIX Foundation, the sister organization of Impact Investment Exchange. Last year, IIX Foundation received artworks from over 300 youth from 30 countries, and in-kind donations from over 20 partners from hospitality, tourism and luxury industries, raising over SGD 60,000 that went to supporting computer literacy training and arts therapy for underserved women in Bangladesh and Singapore.

This year, SHE IS MORE is coordinated with UN Women and is adapting to the crisis by going digital - through its Global Youth Art Competition, Virtual Exhibition and Online Auction. Proceeds from this year’s Online Auction will go towards the IIX Foundation’s work of building Covid-resilient communities around the world, in the knowledge that up to 70% of the global health workforce is made up of women, placing them at the frontline of saving lives and protecting families, and that being ready to build the kind of resilience that will outlast the coronavirus era begins with empowering women.
