
Doha Festival City's Fashion Month, an Inspiration for Qatar's Fashion and Lifestyle Community
Doha Festival City kicked-off its Fashion month last week featuring six spectacular fashion shows, and exclusive collections from a host of retailers
The unique fashion month will run until November 27th, celebrating fashion at Doha Festival City with a line-up of exciting fashion shows and unique offers on the latest collections available across a myriad of retailers at the Mall.
Doha, Qatar – 19, November 2020: Doha Festival City, Qatar's one and only choice for shopping, dining, and entertainment, kicked-off its Fashion Month, with exclusive fashion shows, held on Thursday November 12th and Friday November 13th.
With the attendance of VIP guests and Qatar’s community, Doha Festival City offered an engaging experience through a series of exciting fashion parades, showcasing creations by its world-class retailers.
By Nour Couture opened the Fashion Month with its new collection of luxury dresses for special occasions, starring a breathtaking blue velvet dress every fashionista would adorn. Boggi, Italian style icon participated in the fashion parade, featuring its latest collection of men’s suits and casual outfits for the Fall/Winter season. The first day for the festival concluded with world-famous celebrity designer Fouad Sarkis under the spotlight, in a special showcase of his new collection of breathtaking evening gowns, perfect for any special occasion. His segment featured a range of glittery and sophisticated dresses, perfectly designed to give any women a show-stopping appearance.
The second day of the Fashion Festival was dedicated to modest and refined Arabian fashion, presented by Lamsat Harayer and Louzan premier brands. Both retailers, much-loved in Qatar, exhibited their latest collections of Abayas and Sheilas with elaborated details, including lace, golden and silver threads, and crystals. The second day wrapped-up with NU that presented its Fall/Winter womenswear collection, inspired by modern art and vibrant with bright colors, geometric shapes, and pure lines.
Doha Festival City will continue its Fashion Festival celebrations with an exciting line-up of fashion shows that will be held each Thursday and Friday until November 27th. Several retailers, including the iconic Harvey Nichols - Doha, G2000, Sacoor, Machka, Per Lei Couture, renowned wedding dressmaker Rosa Clará and Turkish brand Ciragan Dantel will unveil their latest collections in the upcoming parades. To reflect the diversity of Qatar’s community, Doha Festival City will also feature casual clothes and youth-oriented brands including Next, Scotch&Soda and Debenhams.
Charlotte Tilbury, Maison de Joelle and Benefit, official makeup sponsors of Doha Festival City Fashion Month, will bring the final perfect touch to models’ looks with elegant and elaborated makeup. Hair styling for the models on the previous shows was sponsored by Doha Festival City’s Glambar, also sponsoring the upcoming weekend shows on Thursday 19th and Friday 20th November.
L’Eto and Patissiez, Doha Festival City Fashion Month’s official catering partners, will concoct delicious cocktails, offered to Fashion Show invitees.
This year, for the safety of guests, Doha Festival City is only inviting a limited number of guests to attend the shows. Yet, all those who wish to be part of the celebrations will be able to see the shows on Doha Festival City screens throughout the Mall; and those who would like to watch it live can tune in to Doha Festival City’s YouTube channel.

Doha Festival City opening hours are Saturday to Wednesday from 10am to 10 pm, and Thursday to Friday from 10am to 11pm. Children of all ages are now allowed to enter the mall. In line with the preventative measures set out by the authorities, Doha Festival City has introduced stringent health and safety measures throughout the mall for its staff and visitors. This includes a thorough mall disinfection treatment on a weekly basis, robust cleaning, and sanitization operations during mall trading hours, 127 hand sanitizing stations installed in the areas that have commonly touched surfaces.
