“Three years and it’s just the beginning” - Mondrian Doha, a five-star destination for luxury travelers seeking creativity and innovation, celebrates its 3rd anniversary with an exclusive film release and a special message to Doha

To share in the festivities, Mondrian Doha invites residents of Qatar to enjoy a host of new and exclusive offers across its culinary emporium, special staycation deals and with its award-winning spa, ESPA

7 October 2020, Doha, Qatar:   Mondrian Doha, managed by leading international lifestyle hospitality group, sbe, reaffirms its position as a vibrant, high-intensity lifestyle brand with a host of exciting offers as part of its 3rd anniversary celebrations. Doha residents are invited to enjoy a variety of exclusive offers across its award-winning restaurants and Spa, along with exciting staycation packages during the month of October. 

Following the success of its 2018 film, awarded the Best Film prize at Berlin Fashion Film Award, Mondrian will release a new film for its 3rd anniversary titled “Three years and it’s just the beginning”.  The short film will honour the hotel’s team who will share the best and the most difficult moments of Mondrian’s three-year journey, inviting the viewers to live the Mondrian experience in an immersive and intriguing way. 

Commenting on the three-years milestone, Chadi Farhat, sbe Chief Operating Officer, said: “The past three years were an exciting journey for Mondrian Doha, where we have demonstrated our commitment to excellence, innovation and boldness. To celebrate this special occasion with guests, Hudson Tavern will host a special brunch on October 9th and every Friday in October onwards, featuring family-style served food with appetizers to share, a selection of main courses and an anniversary special dessert to share, inclusive of beverages for QR 133 and QR 333. The brunch will focus on street food classics, including the much-loved French One Slider, New York hot dogs, as well as the iconic Cannoli and Cheesecake for dessert. 

On 6th October, the anniversary day, Walima and Morimoto will offer a special complimentary dessert to all dining guests. Morimoto will also celebrate with a special three-course menu for QAR 333 every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for the whole month of October. Furthermore, Executive Chef Sezar of Walima will provide an exclusive Anniversary Special Chicken for QAR 133 during this festive month. EllaMia will offer a Mini Sweets plate on every tea and coffee order on October 6th, and will continue the festivities with an Anniversary Special Flower Cake for QAR 55 throughout October as well. 

Furthermore, Mondrian Doha will launch an exclusive staycation package for the ultimate celebration experience. The package will include a Deluxe Suite for two, VIP arrival experience, breakfast for two in Cut, a 12-course gourmet journey with Morimoto ‘Amazing Suchi Omakase’ Menu, and will invite guests to unwind with a relaxing head, shoulder and neck massage for two and a free surprise from ESPA. A prepaid booking made three days ahead of the arrival is required to avail this package, starting from QAR 2500 only for 2 persons. 

For wellness lovers, ESPA will offer 3 additional months at no cost to its 6- and 12-month membership, as well as 33% discount on treatments booked for three or more people. A complimentary neck and shoulder massage will also be offered with every three HydraFacial treatment packages booked. To all customers buying three products from the spa boutique, ESPA will offer a special gift.

Throughout the past three years, Mondrian Doha’s team worked tirelessly to ensure the highest level of service and to become a key hospitality player in Doha. The hotel received several awards, including the Best Luxury Design Hotel for the MENA region at the Luxury Hotels Awards in 2018. 

Through exclusive partnerships with cultural visionaries, Mondrian Doha created extraordinary experiences throughout its journey in Qatar with once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for guests to revel, and enjoy across the hotel’s nightlife, food and beverage, and spa offering. 

In 2018 Mondrian Doha hosted the iconic international superstar, Jennifer Lopez.  And in its first year of operations, Mondrian Doha saw an awe-inspiring line up of celebrity guest appearances throughout the year starting with Hollywood fashionista, Paris Hilton who visited Mondrian Doha, ESPA, Morimoto and Black Orchid. This was followed by Bollywood legend, Shah Rukh Khan who stayed at the hotel during his visit to Doha. American superstar Katy Perry and Colombian singer Maluma also stayed at Mondrian Doha during their visit to Qatar. 

Mondrian Doha’s food emporium became a hub of excitement and innovation throughout the Hotel’s journey, and has remained open for delivery and takeaway during the Covid-19 lockdown period to continue providing guests with extraordinary gastronomic experiences. 

In the framework of its commitment to the community, Mondrian Doha also supported Doha’s frontline healthcare workers by delivering meals, reiterating its role as a key player in Qatar’s community. 

Sbe and Accor announced the plan to open 10 new Mondrian properties by 2022. The company recently inaugurated Mondrian Seoul Itaewon and announced openings of Mondrian Bordeaux and Mondrian Cannes in 2021. Sbe continues the strategic expansion of the brand’s international footprint in partnership with Accor.  Soon-to-be announced Mondrian properties in Australia, the Dominican Republic, Germany, the Maldives, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam are part of this alliance. By 2022, sbe plans to open 50 new hotels internationally, with 10 of them belonging to iconic Mondrian brand.
