Festival City continues to create memorable moments for its visitors with workshops for children, live cooking for adults and Garangao night celebration 

Doha, Qatar – 2 May 2019:   Doha Festival City, Qatar’s unique, world-class destination celebrating the best in entertainment and retail, will be organizing a series of activities during Ramadan. From live cooking stations, featuring famous chefs for adults, and Garangao, the fun candy collection night, to a crafts workshop, storytelling for children, henna stations, and falconry, Festival City continues to create special moments for all family members, and celebrates the cultural heritage. 

During the first week of Ramadan, Doha Festival City will organize an Iftar campaign, in collaboration with the traffic department and Qatar Charity, that will see 2,000 Iftar boxes distributed among taxi drivers in the areas surrounding the mall and on Shamal road. 

On Friday, 12 Ramadan (17 May), the mall will collaborate with retailers for an exciting Garangao event to mark this mid-Ramadan celebration with over 3000 children. The little ones will follow a map that will take them across the mall to collect their share of sweets from participating stores, such as; Lego, Abercrombie & Fitch, Body & Bath Works, Angry Bird World, FNAC, Salam Kido, Daiso, Giftshed and many more. 

Throughout the third week of Ramadan, visitors can enjoy a Live Cooking Station for adults near South Food Court, Ground Floor, in collaboration with Daiso and FNAC. Meanwhile, children can enjoy their time in the storytelling tent at the theme parks atrium, which will take them on journeys to faraway magical lands.  

For the fourth week of the month, and as we get closer to Eid, a crafts workshop will be held, at the theme parks atrium, for children to paint their money banks, design their own Eid Cards, and create their own masterpieces. Ladies can head to the Ramadan majlis, opposite to Monoprix, to get their Henna designs, where there will also be a Falcon for a perfect Eid photo.  

Doha Festival City retailers are participating in the festivities too. Monsoon, Accessorize, Edible Arrangements, Mayoral and XTI are all having special offers for customers. Families and friends, looking to feast together, can enjoy special menus at Wagamama, Nandos, Le Petit Train Blue and a host of other restaurants.
