al khaliji extends its financial support to the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs
A Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative
Doha, Qatar, March 16, 2019: Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji) P.Q.S.C, Qatar’s next generation bank, as part of corporate social responsibility drive, has once again extended its financial support in the form of donation to the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs, a local humanitarian organization that aims to support and develop the skills and capabilities of people with disabilities.
The donation, which was handed over in the presence of Mr. Mohamad Alkuwari, Head of Reward and HR Services at al khaliji, and Mr. Taleb Abdullah Afifah, Board Member at the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Mohamad Alkuwari, Head of Rewards and HR Services at al khaliji, said:
“Al Khaliji has been charting a very promising journey in Qatar and as an ode to this recognition, we believe that this is our responsibility to support the underprivileged society by way of supporting unique endeavors such as the successfully mentored by the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs team. We are happy to associate with them again to support the cause and seek to witness all-inclusive growth of Qatar, which will ultimately support Qatar National Vision 2030.”
Mr. Taleb Abdullah Afifah, Member of the Board of Directors of Qatar Society for the Rehabilitation of Special Needs, praised al khaliji Bank and its sponsors for their keenness to cooperate with the Association and contribute to the care of our children with disabilities on a permanent basis and expressed his thanks and gratitude for this generous contribution which will be used in purchasing medical equipment and compensatory, the most important project in the association.
Medical and prosthetic devices required for purchasing are: electric wheelchairs, electric medical beds, wheelchairs with special specifications for severe motor disabilities, medical glasses, hearing aids for the hearing impaired, LAP TOP devices for people with visual and motor disabilities and other devices needed by persons with disabilities, taking into account the progress made in the quality of these devices.
This noble cause forms the part of Al khaliji’s continuous efforts to support the community it serves while committing to its multi-faceted corporate social responsibility initiative, thereby contributing towards achieving one the four pillars of the Qatar National Vision 2030, and its emphasis on human and social development. The bank consistently demonstrates its promise to community development in Qatar, and will continue to support initiatives and programs that raise public awareness of important social issues.
