This year's comprehensive programme will include a variety of cultural and heritage activities to celebrate the holy month. The beating heart of the capital will host numerous celebrations, becoming a vibrant centre for community interaction, in celebration of the distinctive traditional Ramadan atmosphere.

A Feast for the Senses: Barahat Msheireb Iftar & Suhoor Experience

This programme includes a distinctive experience for Iftar and Suhoor meals at 'Barahat Msheireb,' the largest covered open-air square in the region. It includes a gastronomic journey provided by Mandarin Oriental Doha through an open buffet and live cooking stations for international and local cuisines.

The melodies of oud, qanun and nay instruments will create a wonderful atmosphere during the event, along with the fragrant scents of bakhoor, enhancing the experience. A professional calligrapher will create artworks that attendees can keep as souvenirs and gifts.

The activities focus on families to ensure enjoyment and participation for all age groups, in accordance with the family bonding values that characterise the atmosphere of the holy month of Ramadan.

Illuminating Traditions: Site-Wide Activations

This programme will include a collection of distinctive installations, decorative elements and interactive experiences related to the holy month, accompanied by captivating light shows throughout Msheireb Downtown Doha and its neighbourhoods.

The Giving Hands Initiative – This initiative has been organised in cooperation with Qatar Charity, where this interactive art installation symbolises the values of Ramadan in generosity and giving. The artistic design spreads across key areas, including Sikkat Wadi Msheireb and Souq Waqif Underpass, where it will illuminate with each charitable contribution, highlighting hands that express sympathy and comfort.

Nostalgic Gatherings: Ramadan in Hosh Msheireb

The Ramadan programme will include activities in 'Company House' within Msheireb Museums, sponsored by MASTERCARD and in partnership with Qatar TV, reviving the atmosphere of traditional family gatherings from the 1960s-80s, and enjoying a journey through Qatar's rich heritage.

The experience will include a traditional homestyle menu, prepared in collaboration with Park Hyatt Hotel and Chef Hamad Al-Hajri, featuring traditional Qatari dishes prepared in new ways. A photographic exhibition will also be held, featuring rare images of Msheireb's journey over the decades.

In addition, a space for children will be dedicated, sponsored by 'Qatar Reads' initiative, for heritage-focused storytelling sessions and creative workshops that connect younger generations with Qatari traditions.

Spiritual Enlightenment: Mosque Activations & Distinguished Speakers

Msheireb Downtown Doha mosques will host a distinguished programme featuring speakers and Quran reciters throughout the holy month. The programme will include renowned scholars, with sessions dedicated to strengthening community bonds and deepening understanding of the significance of the holy month of Ramadan through interactive discussions and beautiful recitations of the Holy Quran.

Joyful Traditions: Garangao Celebrations

The Ramadan programme will include celebrations for the mid-Ramadan night of Garangao, beloved by children, with activities featuring both revival of traditions and contemporary entertainment. Garangao activities will include a fashion show displaying traditional attire, various entertainment activities, and bags filled with gifts. There will also be a caricature drawing station, which will add a modern artistic dimension to this night's traditions.
