The First ‘La Bodega Negra' in the Middle East is Now Open in Doha
New Mexican cuisine destination promises a unique and exceptional dining experience
14 January 2020, Doha, Qatar: Mexican food lovers in Doha are up for an exciting experience with the first ever La Bodega Negra in the Middle East now open at the iconic St. Regis Hotel, Doha.
La Bodega Negra’s menu features Mexican staples like baja crispy fish tacos, and tuna tostadas, as well as specialties from the wood fired grill such as giant grilled prawns with chipotle aioli, and wagyu rib eye with chimichurri and esquites. Spicing and ingredients are specially sourced to ensure a magical and authentic culinary experience. A selection of bespoke mocktails and cocktails will complement the food.
With its Hacienda-style interiors, the restaurant has the warm atmosphere of a Mexican philanthropists’ home. Collectors’ art adorns the walls and it houses a casual yet up-scale living, dining and bar area that brings to mind an elaborately designed impresario’s home. The restaurant itself is 92 covers, with a beautiful bar that seats 30, and an expansive, leafy garden terrace.
Will Ricker, Owner of La Bodega Negra, said: “We are ecstatic and thrilled to open our global 3rd branch here in Qatar, at the St. Regis Hotel. We realize the importance of opening our first-ever Middle East destination here, as Doha has now become a regional hub for world-class culinary and gourmet outlets.”
La Bodega Negra is located in key international locations including New York, London and opening an Ibiza outpost next year. The London restaurant is known for being a prominent celebrity attraction, one of the city’s best nights. Opened in March 2012, La Bodega Negra re-shaped the concept of dining in London, combining a diverse clientele with theatre, bonhomie and outstanding Mexican food and drink.
Ian Hunt, Operations Director at La Bodega Negra Doha, said: “Our philosophy is to create a dining experience where food is to be shared and enjoyed. We are passionate about what we do, who we are, and all those that enter La Bodega Negra. Our new destination in Doha follows the steps of our other successful international landmarks.”
Guests are welcome to visit La Bodega Negra and enjoy a superb culinary experience from Sunday to Friday, the restaurant open from 6pm to 11.30pm, bar open from 5pm – 12am Sunday to Tuesday and 5pm – 1am Wednesday to Friday.
