al khaliji Bank sponsors 2019 edition of Asia-Pacific Conference
Doha, Qatar, 06 November 2019: al Khaliji Commercial Bank P.Q.S.C (al khaliji), Qatar’s next generation bank, sponsored the Asia Pacific Management Accounting Association Conference (APMAA) 2019 hosted by Qatar University, from November 2nd to November 5th, 2019. The conference brings together distinguished scientists, researchers, and economists from 36 countries under the theme of “Management Accounting and Finance in the 21st Century: Challenges and Perspectives”.
Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Saoud Al-Thani, the Governor of Qatar Central Bank, APMAA is being held for the first time in the Middle East, with an aim to support the growth and development of the sciences related to the fields of accounting and finance. The objective stems from Qatar’s efforts to recognize the importance of economic policies that facilitate diversification of the national economy, develop its natural resources and wealth, and strengthen its non-oil sector currently growing at a rapid pace.
On this occasion, Mr. Omar Al Emadi, Group Chief Business officer of al khaliji Bank said:
“Our sponsorship of APMAA aligns with the Qatar National Vision 2030 and is derived from our core belief in continuous social responsibility towards the Qatari community and Middle East region as a whole, by offering local researchers a platform to exchange their ideas with their international counterparts.”
al khaliji Bank’s decision to participate in APMAA as a sponsor is grounded in its central vision and ongoing efforts to facilitate an open and promising platform in research for finance and accounting experts along with their professional counterparts across the Arab world to engage with international experts and to build up their knowledge and experience. Moreover, the initiative contributes to the drive of al khaliji to not only become the “next generation bank in Qatar” but the bank for all future generations in the country and the region.
