Through our participation in the Sport day, we contribute towards the goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030, says Elias R. Chedid, Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer

Doha, Qatar 17 February 2018 -   Seib Insurance and Reinsurance Company LLC, one of Qatar’s leading insurance companies, hosted a fun and engaging sports program for all its employees, in support of  the seventh National Sports Day in Qatar. Seib’s participation in the National Sport day is in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program to create awareness on the importance of sports and fitness in achieving a sound and healthy lifestyle, which, in turn, helps in the development of a strong, prosperous society.

All staff, including their families were invited to take part in host of entertaining activities and sports events including Yoga Session at the Sharq Village & Spa on February 13. Furthermore, Seib employees also participated in 5-A-side Football Tournament at Al Sadd Sports Club, which saw the participation of teams from several organizations and served as a platform to foster the values of community, sportsmanship and positive team spirit among participants.

Commenting on this occasion, Mr. Elias R. Chedid, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Seib Insurance and Reinsurance Company LLC, said:

The National Sport Day was launched in 2012 to develop a physically and psychologically active and healthy society where individuals can build their capabilities and interact with their social environment. It seeks to educate people on the importance of physical activity and help develop and promote a culture of healthy living in the Qatari society. It further engages people in active and entertaining activities and provides information about different sport activities in the State.

Seib’s sports day celebrations come as part of the company’s ongoing effort to promote health and well-being amongst its employees The company believes that Healthy employees are an essential ingredient towards boosting productivity levels and ensuring the creation of a sustainable workforce.
