Where children can ‘Live the Spirit’ of the special season

Doha, Qatar – 28th May 2017:  KidzMondo Doha, Qatar’s one-of-a-kind edutainment city, celebrates the holy month of Ramadan for the first time by offering visitors unprecedented experiences upon their visit to the Kid-sized city. The indoor theme park will grant families and visitors the opportunity to celebrate the season of generosity and togetherness with special engagements for children, along with several entertaining activities; Saturdays to Thursdays from 9:00 AM till 1:00 PM and from 8:00 PM till 12:00 AM, and on Fridays from 8:00 PM till 12:00 AM.

At the heart of its innovative concept, KidzMondo unlocks the gate to creativity for children who dress up and ‘Live the Role’ through an array of fun and educative activities, and in the spirit of Ramadan, kidizens will have the opportunity to learn about doing ‘Sadaqa’ – donation – as part of KidzMondo Doha’s initiative in cooperation with Qatar Charity, Tayf and Jouf water which will encourage children to be more involved in corporate social responsibility initiatives. To further encourage the kids to ‘Live the Spirit’, a story-teller – ‘Hakawati’ – will bring the children to gather round and listen to special anecdotes and mementos

of traditional Ramadan practices, educating them with the significance of the virtues surrounding Ramadan.
Another special on-ground engagement will be the presence of the Ramadan ‘Mesaharati’ – who will take a walk around the indoor theme park, beating his drum in honor of the traditional drummer that walks the streets before dawn to wake those that are sleeping, in order to have a small meal before fasting resumes.

Commenting on the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan, Ms. Eman Baker Abu El Hawa, KidzMondo Doha’s General Manager, said:

Youngsters will enjoy getting involved in the special celebration of the Holy month by creating Ramadan lanterns and gift boxes, get a taste of Ramadan Arabic sweets and cookies, as well as being treated to traditional folkloric Ramadan stories that will further perpetuate the spirit of the season.”
